Enrollment Process (Steps to Apply)
High School Enrollment & Admission Requirements
- Who May Apply to Attend NMTCC?
High School students who reside in the Methacton, North Penn, Perkiomen Valley, Souderton, or Wissahickon School Districts may apply to attend NMTCC. Students must complete the NMTCC enrollment process to be considered for admission. Students may obtain an NMTCC Enrollment form from a school counselor at their high school or by contacting NMTCC Student Services Office at 215-368-1177 x 188. Students must complete the Enrollment form and return it to their high school counselor as the first step in the enrollment process. For high school students who are not enrolled at their local school district (students who are home-schooled, attending a private school or parochial school, etc.), they are to contact NMTCC for an enrollment form or see their school counselor.
- How is Enrollment Granted?
Enrollment at NMTCC is limited. Therefore, each applicant is evaluated based on the information provided in the Enrollment Form, including the student’s academic records. These materials are reviewed and evaluated specific to the student’s attendance, compliance with school rules, grades, essay, and evidence of career planning, interest, and preparation. The most qualified applicants will be granted admission based on equity among the five districts, until all openings in that program are filled. The remaining applicants are then placed on a waiting list for potential placement as openings occur in those programs.
The student’s academic records must be submitted with the Enrollment form to be considered for admission. Incomplete Enrollment Forms will not be reviewed. Enrollment forms from students with exceptionalities or disabilities will be received, processed, and responded to in the same manner as all other Enrollment forms following all education laws and policies. The final selection of all students is contingent upon the final approval of the participating sending school district.
- Process to Enroll in NMTCC
Step 1: Interested students obtain an Enrollment form from the school counselor at their high school.
Step 2: The student completes the NMTCC Enrollment form (including both student and parent signatures) and returns the application to the school counselor at their high school.
Step 3: The counselor reviews, completes the Enrollment form materials, and forwards it to NMTCC. Once NMTCC reviews and evaluates the enrollment materials, students and parents/guardians are notified of their enrollment status. Typically, students are notified by NMTCC within six weeks of receipt of the Enrollment Form.
- Enrollment Deadline!
Since there are a limited number of openings each year, students should have their Enrollment form on file at NMTCC by March 4th for the next school year. Late Enrollment forms will be considered on a space-available basis.
