The purpose of the Allied Health Technology Program is to introduce students to the practice of medicine in an actual health care facility and to instruct pupils in the skills necessary to become productive citizens and health care workers within the community. Also, it is a goal to promote and to encourage post-high school education and lifelong learning.
During this school year, the students will experience an exciting adventure in health care. They will be working in several different departments of the hospital (when covid restrictions are not in place) in addition to studying theories and learning basic patient care skills in the classroom. During this experience, the student will have discussions about career choices, hands-on experience, and an in-depth look at a wide range of opportunities.
