Career Objectives:

• Complete a career goal card and essay yearly.
• Purpose is to be sure students are aware of careers available and the path needed to reach their career goals.

Program Highlights:

• Through the Collision Repair program, students have the opportunity to earn I-CAR gold class points. They will also prepare to obtain ASE certification after they have been working in the field for one year.

Grading:

• KNOWLEDGE 30%

  Knowledge is classroom work - quizzes, tests, essays, note-taking, participation and homework.

• WORK ETHIC 30%

  Work ethic is wearing full uniform, completing time cards, and attitude.

• SKILLS 40%

  Skills are the hands-on work completed in the lab.

Program Rules/Regulations:

• Be respectful to everyone.
• Respect other people’s property.
• Student must sign out when leaving the room.
• Maintain portfolio binder.
• Clean up after yourself.
• Do not disrupt other students during theory lesson.
• Don’t be afraid to ask questions and get help.
• Be prepared for class everyday.
• Stay on task.
• No horseplay. The shop is a dangerous place; you will get hurt if you do not follow the rules.

Safety Requirements:

• Follow all safety rules, lab rules and special instructions given.
• Safety glasses must be worn at all times in the lab.
• Full uniform must be worn everyday. (No jeans. Loss of points will result.)
• Must follow NMTCC Code of Conduct.
