Description: Course covers knowledge of basic numerical control and understanding of CNC safety. Demonstrate use and understanding of binary codes, and point-to-point positional controls. Also covers manual programming of CNC lathes and mills starting with basic principles and finishing with canned cycles, tool nose and compensation.
Prerequisite: Student must speak, read, and understand the English language and have taken Precision Machine Shop 1A/1B. Textbook included.
