UPDATE - June 3, 2020 Message from Mrs. Pardovich, Administrative Director

UPDATE- JUNE 3, 2020

Tonight is the night!

North Montco Technical Career Center (NMTCC) holds an awards ceremony each year, which is our Senior Recognition Night. During this event, awards are presented to some of the students. Additionally, we present each student with a certificate from North Montco Technical Career Center.

Many people confuse our recognition/awards ceremony with a graduation ceremony, but students do not graduate from NMTCC.  This is solely a District responsibility, even if the student attends NMTCC on a full-time basis.

Due to the mandates in place to keep everyone safe during this challenging time in our country, we will be holding a virtual awards ceremony this year. This ceremony will be aired through a link on the NMTCC website (www.nmtcc.org, under school news), tonight, Wednesday, June 3 at 7:00 PM.

The certificate and awards will be mailed to the students shortly after June 3.

Congratulations Class of 2020!

UPDATE- MAY 5, 2020
As many of you may know, North Montco Technical Career Center (NMTCC) holds an awards ceremony each year, which is our Senior Recognition Night.

This ceremony was scheduled to be held on June 3 at 7:00 PM. On that day, we will provide a link to our virtual recognition ceremony. Each student’s name will be announced along with his/her photo, if it was submitted to us. (Photos can be submitted to Rhonda Novicki, rnovicki@nmtcc.org.) Awards will also be announced. The certificate and awards will be mailed to the students shortly after June 3.

I encourage you to check with your sending district to see how they will be handling graduation ceremonies this year and how they are arranging the distribution of diplomas. Each district is working on a plan and will recognize the seniors in their way.

Finally, look for a NMTCC staff member to stop by your house this week (Thursday, May 7) to drop off a little surprise for our senior students.

Thank you for your continued support as we adjust to this virtual environment to recognize the Class of 2020!

UPDATE- APRIL 9, 2020
A message from NMTCC Administrative Director, Mrs. Pardovich:

Today Governor Tom Wolf announced that all Pennsylvania public schools would remain closed through the end of the 2019-2020 academic year.

Accordingly, North Montco Technical Career Center will remain closed and will not reopen this school year.

We know you have many questions about when students can access schools to get their belongings, what we will do about senior recognition, and many other issues. Thank you in advance for giving us time to work through the answers to some of these questions, to solicit feedback and guidance from the state and our sending Districts about these issues.

North Montco’s Student Engagement Plan will resume on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 after spring break concludes, and it will continue for all students through the end of the school year.

We will continue to provide additional information and support for students throughout the closure.

Thank you for your time and patience as we navigate this unusual time.

UPDATE- MARCH 28, 2020

A message from NMTCC Administrative Director, Mrs. Pardovich:

Parents: Due to a request by the Secretary of Education for Pennsylvania for a continuity of learning plan, North Montco has listed a Student Engagement Plan. This plan will give you a list of teacher contact email addresses, administration email addresses and a list of activities each teacher has posted. Remember, students can access these activities by logging into their North Montco email account. The directions are listed below.

Please understand these activities cannot possibly replace face to face career and technical instruction because of the valuable skill component, the learning and refining of these skills, face to face, with an instructor in a career and technical environment. However, we do feel that these activities will help to keep students engaged and learning as we hopefully move closer to the end of this current event.

Covid19 has put us all in a place we've never been before. Your North Montco Technical Career Center teachers, administration and support staff are doing their best to get activities out to you.

Take care and be safe!

We will continue to update our website and social media accounts as we move through this unprecedented time.

Also, if your child normally eats lunch at North Montco, you need to check with your resident school district for food distribution information on their website. North Montco cannot participate at this time. The districts have locations set up for food distribution.

You may contact your child’s instructor or northmontco@nmtcc.org if you have any questions.

Thank you for your cooperation as we work through this together.
