OPEN RECORDS OFFICER – RIGHT TO KNOW REQUESTS
Beginning January 1, 2009, Pennsylvania’s Right-To-Know Law Act 3 of 2008 took effect. This law established that all records kept by government entities are presumed to be open to the public, with some exceptions. The North Montco Technical Career Center (NMTCC) operating in full compliance with the law has established the following measures for requesting access to public records. These procedures are detailed in the Right to Know Policy and Administrative Regulations document accessible using the link below from the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records website:
https://www.openrecords.pa.govThe North Montco Technical Career Center has designated an Open Records Officer:
Mrs. Gina Pardovich

***NOTICE RELATED TO THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) EMERGENCY***
Pennsylvania is currently under a declared state of emergency related to the coronavirus (COVID-19). As a result, many agencies, including the North Montco Technical Career Center, are not able to meaningfully respond to Right to Know Law (RTKL) requests and appeals. Therefore, the Office of Open Records has put a “stay” in place that essentially freezes all such matters until the situation changes.
That being said, although the School’s staff members are working remotely – and therefore do not have access to many of the records individuals may request – the School will process RTKL requests as it is able. In that respect, the School is unable to provide any public records except those that it maintains electronically and can access remotely. Where that is not the case, responses may indicate that the School cannot substantively respond during the closure, but will do so after the School fully re-opens.
If, with the above in mind, an individual wishes to submit a request, please only do so by email (gpardovich@nmtcc.org) during this period.
