Description: Introduction to the SLC 500TM family of small programmable logic controllers (PLC). Learn hardware configurations and computer numbering systems and receive hands-on experience using SLC programming basics. Includes: Introduction to Programmable Controllers, Basic PLC Programming, PLC Motor Control, Discrete I/O Interfacing, Intro to PLC troubleshooting and PLC troubleshooting Understanding of basic computer skills/Windows and the concepts presented in Industrial Electricity 1 is desirable.
Requirements: Prerequisite: Basic Electricity. Textbook included.
Note: All adult students must present a Driver’s License or state-issued ID as part of the registration process. The ID will be scanned and screened for registered sex offenders in all 50 states. Participation in programs is contingent on the results of the screening.
