Description:  This course is for persons working in industrial or commercial facilities who perform electrical repairs along with their other maintenance duties. Electrical trade basics for the business environment, including packaging, manufacturing, and process industries.
Combined lecture and lab training covers:

  • Motor starter sizing and protection
  • National Electrical Code
  • Series/parallel wiring in reference to control wiring, control transformers, 1 & 3 motor wiring (AC), and contactors for non-motor loads
  • Reading and understanding elementary schematics & symbols and interfacing stop/start stations, limit switches, pressure switches, and proximity sensors, 
  • Introduction to forward/reverse starters, VFD's, and conduit bending/installation

Requirements: Prerequisite: Electrical Construction I/II.  Textbook included - Safety equipment required.
