EKG Technician

Description: The program prepares students for real-world success as entry-level EKG technicians.  Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the cardiovascular system's anatomy and physiology, obtain and interpret basic patient vital signs, and develop the skills to initiate CPR and first aid when needed.  Participants will also master the purpose and application of EKG monitoring, perform several live EKGs, and provide patient care and assistance before, during, and after procedures.

Note: All adult students must present a Driver’s License or state-issued ID as part of the registration process. The ID will be scanned and screened against registered sex offender databases in all 50 states. Participation in programs is contingent on the results of the screening.
