Description: The Cosmetology program provides students with the comprehensive knowledge, technical training, and hands-on experience necessary to successfully pass the Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology Licensing Examination.  The wide range of career opportunities within the beauty industry.  Students will develop and refine their practical skills through supervised, hands-on training in a publicly accessible salon, gaining real-world experience and building professional confidence.  Students must complete 1250 hours of instruction and achieve at least a 75% grade average to be eligible for the State Board of Cosmetology license exam. 

Industry Certifications: Cosmetology State License, Barbicide Certification
 
Equipment/Materials/Uniforms/Other Requirements:

• Cosmetology kit - $1,000.00  (Contains everything you need for the workforce)
• Books - $550.00  (Includes a textbook, workbook, and exam prep book
• Uniform - $14.50 - $33.00
• State license fee - $140 (Paid directly to a third party to sit for the state board exam.)

• Note: All adult students must present a Driver’s License or state-issued ID as part of the registration process. The ID will be scanned and screened against registered sex offender databases in all 50 states. Participation in programs is contingent on the results of the screening.
