Welcome to North Montco Technical Career Center: Offering Technical Training Since 1967
Established in 1964 as a beacon of innovation, North Montco Technical Career Center stands proudly as one of the original four area Vocational-Technical Schools in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Our journey began with a vision to empower students with hands-on education, and today, we continue to be at the forefront of shaping futures.
Our Roots: Nestled on a sprawling 15-acre parcel along Sumneytown Pike in Towamencin Township, our state-of-the-art facility has been a cornerstone of technical education since its construction in 1967. Jointly owned by the Methacton, North Penn, Souderton Area, Perkiomen Valley and Wissahickon School Districts, North Montco Technical Career Center has been a hub of learning and growth for over half a century.
The Driving Force: Authorized by the Joint Operating Committee (JOC), our operations are steered by two dedicated school board members from each sending district with the exception of North Penn School District, which is represented by three members.
Leadership at the Helm: Under the guidance of our Superintendent of Record, who serves as the chief school administrator, and our Administrative Director, the heartbeat of North Montco Technical Career Center resonates with a commitment to excellence. Together, they spearhead the seamless operation of our institution.
Our Community Impact: Serving approximately 1100 high school students from the five surrounding school districts, North Montco Technical Career Center is more than an educational institution—it's a community. Beyond technical training, we pride ourselves on providing a holistic education by offering academic courses to our full-time students.
