Program Information for Introduction to Pharmaceutical
Hours: 48 hours

Description: Pharmacy technicians are needed in many settings including a variety of community pharmacies, hospitals and managed care facilities. Learn how to assist the pharmacist in serving patients, maintaining medications and inventory control systems along with the management of a pharmacy practice. The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board administers the National Pharmacy Technician Certification examination. The exam is voluntary, and those who pass the exam earn the title of Certified Pharmacy Technician.
Requirements: Textbook included.
